We currently have it listed for 229,000 (appraised last month) so we'd like to see something comparable (or a little more expensive) in price.

WHAT WE WANT:

Basically, we'd like a single family home in Anchorage with 2BR+, 2BA+, around 1500+ SF with a little bit of privacy.
No townhomes/condos/apts/mobile homes.

We currently have our home listed for 229,000 (appraised last month) so we'd like to see something comparable in price (up to about 300,000). We realize there's a price difference between the real estate in FL and AK so we're ok downsizing into a 2BR if we have to. We're from Anchorage and prefer the Bear Valley/Hillside area for the privacy but would also be willing to commute in from ER/Chugiak/Peters Creek. Might consider something in the Valley but it would have to be a great house for us to brave the Glenn on a daily basis (especially in the winter).
